This was a school project called “Mataverse,” where the goal was to create some kind of environment in the metaverse where people could get… something. Honestly, the briefing was super unclear, and no one really knew what we were supposed to make—including the teachers.
We were told to use this “metaverse building software” that was so bad it felt like a beta from 2003. Day one: login didn’t work. Day two: half the tools disappeared. Day three: entire builds were randomly gone. Even the teachers gave up.
Eventually, the school told us: “Just make something somewhere else.” So we did. And we had fun with it.
We recreated the Apple Store HQ in Minecraft, built in 1:2 scale, and came up with a concept where people could earn discounts on Apple products by playing minigames. There was even a shop where you could spend your points. We made a video showcase to explain the idea and show what we built.
What started as a broken assignment turned into a fun and creative project we could actually enjoy.
